What is Peak Performance?

We have all had those rare moments when everything falls into place, where our skills and our attention combine such that we perform better than we could hope to expect, or in a way that surprised and thrilled us. How would it be to reach that state consciously, continuously? What if that state were normal?

Most people are only utilizing a fraction of their potential. Inner Act's Peak Performance Training can change that. We have worked successfully with students, business professionals, golfers, vocalists, dancers, gymnasts, and musicians to improve their performance and ease, often dramatically. It has also proven very effective for children with learning disorders and attention issues. As well, individuals who have completed this training program have found it invaluable in preparing for auditions, competitions, recitals, academic challenges, and interviews. It has also proven effective in diminishing social anxiety and shyness.

Describe the experience of a peak performance?

Peak performance is an easily recognized mental state where you are focused and present. We have all had experiences of peak performance, but these are usually fleeting and not reproducible. Here are some common elements of the peak performance state:
  • Ability to focus and attend to the task at hand
  • Flexibility of attention
  • Clarity of thought
  • Absence of self-consciousness
  • Ability to control breathing and adrenaline
  • No fear of failure
  • A sense of personal control
  • Heightened intuition and awareness
  • Effortlessness
  • An altered state of consciousness
  • Appropriate reactions and responses without having to think about them
